Bio

JS Project ( Jeff Stadler Project ) is a seasoned Solo Acoustic Musician playing a wide mix of Acoustic Rock, Blues and Folk favorites spanning the decades as well as Originals and Tasty Tunes from other music genres, too !

Jeff's musical journey began when a 4th grade elementary school teacher recognized his music potential and got him involved with singing and playing various musical instruments such as the autoharp, xylophone, marimba, vibraphone, congas and various other hand percussion instruments. He sang in choir ensembles and played these different instruments for school concerts for the entire elementary student body.

He initially became interested in guitar when his parents purchased an electric guitar and amplifier for his older sister along with in-home guitar lessons for her. Although he never played her electric guitar at that time, it sparked his curiosity for the instrument.

Jeff picked up a guitar for the first time after an uncle, who lived in California, gifted him an acoustic one that he purchased on a trip to Mexico. His uncle had the original natural "gut" strings replaced with steel strings before giving the guitar to him. The inexpensive wood guitar sounded somewhat decent, but it was nearly impossible to play due to the very extreme string height, wide fretboard and lack of any neck adjustment capability. As an older teenager, he persevered with this difficult to play instrument for several years until he was able to purchase a small bodied second hand Yamaha acoustic guitar.

Although self-taught, never having any formal guitar or voice lessons, Jeff was a Lead and Backing Vocalist; played Lead, Rhythm and Bass Guitar in multiple 3 and 4 piece electric Rock and Variety bands including the Invader, Stonehenge and Stone Sober bands. While a member of the Stonehenge band he shared the musical lineup with famed virtuouso guitarist Paul Gilbert's band Yield. Paul Gilbert was also a founding member of the Racer X and Mr. Big bands.

Jeff was also the opening act for the Commander Cody band.

In addition, he was a member of several Acoustic Duo ensembles before deciding to perform as a Solo Acoustic Act under the JS Project (Jeff Stadler Project) name.

Along with performing a diverse mix of Acoustic covers, Jeff also performs acoustic versions of some of his Original Music compositions.

When he is not touring and performing live shows at various venues, Jeff devotes his time to working in the studio on a backlog of Original Music.
